LAdventures: griffith observatory.

i've been wanting to go to griffith observatory for YEARS. 

m'peanut came to town and i knew, i just KNEW it was time. 

we couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous LA day.

"we're LA girls now, we should go on a diet."

can you name that movie? 

we played posey pose in front of this super cool door. 

such poise, such style. that's my martha.

legs crossed, lips red. 

the tesla coil was the second coolest thing at the observatory. 

{the first coolest being this exhibit about the earth rotating that blew my mind and i couldn't explain it even if i tried. just know, the earth's moving...WE'RE moving. get into it.}

it's all very picturesque and romantic and whatnot. 

you should go. if you can't find an adventure buddy, i'll go with you. 

day of delight.

miss katie and i were both free tuesday.

so we decided to have a day of delight and wonder.

we started with the original pancake house.

oh my dee-lish.

katie ate too much. she was sad.

i cheered her up by taking her to the movies

and forcing her to stand in this movie board.

worked like a charm.

after the movie, we had some time to kill

so we headed up to balboa for a stop at dad's.

balboa bars. hippo cookies. heaven.

we cruised pch on the way home and just sung our

little hearts out. it was good times.

all in all, a delightful day. mission accomplished.

what would YOU do if you had nothing to do?

LACMA.

a couple of weekends ago, miss brittany and i took a quick trip to LACMA.

there are a couple of INCREDIBLE exhibits right now.

. john singleton copley, watson and the shark .

there is an incredible american stories exhibit.

i took an american humanities class in college and it was so

great to see so many of the paintings that i had studied in college.

so so SO exciting!

. pierre-auguste renoir, gabrielle with a rose .

the renoir exhibit was to DIE for! it showcased a lot of renoir's

post-impressionism paintings that were a nod to a more classical style.

the paintings were GORGEOUS and i learned so much about renoir!

after the museum, i forced brittany into

an impromptu photo shoot. she's a sassy little miss.

before we headed home, we made a stop at an

excavation site at the la brea tar pits. FOSSILS, people!

kinda random. kinda fun. all in all, a good day.

farmers market.

have you been to the farmers market in downtown LA?

totally overpriced but kinda fun. i recommend the crepe place.

nutella, bananas and whipped cream. can't go wrong.

while the visitors were here,

we hit up the hollywood walk of fame.

grauman's chinese theater was

the first step.

popsicle was pretty excited about

sidney poitier's prints.

gram and i have a long standing

"white christmas" tradition.

bing sent our hearts aflutter.

mama took a minute to visit mj.

i had to pay gram a lot of money

to stand next to this guy for a picture. freaky!
