pleased ta meet cha.

back in 2005, i moved to the golden state full of hope for a tanned, celebrity-studded lifestyle.

(actually, the move from washington to california is what prompted my very first blog post)

it was just the adventure i needed and i've never looked back.

6 years does a cali girl make. i love it here. so much.

and now, i'm changing it up again.

things are picking up in the beauty biz and i needed to make the move from OC to LA.

orange and LA counties are only 60 miles apart, but it may as well be another world.

hard to explain but it's REAL different. the people, the lifestyle, the attitude (oc peeps got attitude but LA peeps got ATTITUDE *snaps*).

change is good.

i'm really excited to discover a new place. there's so much to see and do in LA. so many new and interesting people to meet and opportunities to be had.

oh hey, LA. let's do this.

daybed.

i just moved into a new bedroom that is on

the teeny tiny side. i've been thinking and rethinking the layout.

i'm not super keen on the idea of a twin bed (dorm room anyone?)

but i think a daybed might be just the ticket.

it'll take some work to make it chic, but these setups give me hope.

i like that this bedroom is obviously multi functioning.

one of the awesome (note the sarcasm) things about living with

roommates is that your bedroom becomes the haven that

serves a multitude of activities.

i have an affinity for all white bed + linens.

i also like the idea of a headboard of repurposed materials.

this fancy schmansy bed is kind of awesome.

i love the bright velvet color + the tufted-ness.

maybe something in a more grown up color could work?

to start, my bed will probably look a little like this.

plain jane. but a girl can dream, right?
